Getting started

Create your account, pair the right Chrome profile, and choose the marketplaces you want Closetline to follow.

What do I need before I start?

You need a Closetline account and Google Chrome on the computer and Chrome profile where you normally sign in to your marketplaces. The Closetline Inbox Connector is required for marketplace setup. It is a separate extension from SellSeva Command Center.

How do I install and pair the Closetline Inbox Connector?
  1. Sign in to Closetline and open setup.
  2. Install the Closetline Inbox Connector in the Chrome profile you use for selling.
  3. Return to Closetline and select Pair connector.
  4. Run a connection check after pairing.
Why does Closetline need the Chrome profile I sell from?

Pairing is tied to one Chrome profile. That lets Closetline check whether the selected marketplaces are open and signed in in that same profile. Installing the connector in a different profile will not connect the profile you use for selling.

How do I choose or change marketplaces?

During setup, choose the marketplaces you sell on. After setup, open Settings → Marketplace configuration, select or clear marketplaces, then choose Save changes. Run Check sessions after changing a marketplace.

Marketplace connections

Understand connection status and fix sign-in, profile, and session issues.

What does “Connected · syncing” mean?

Closetline found the paired connector and a signed-in session for that selected marketplace in your current Chrome profile. Keep that browser profile available when you want Closetline to check the session again.

What does “Sign in needed” mean?
  1. Use the marketplace’s normal sign-in page in the paired Chrome profile.
  2. Complete any marketplace verification or challenge directly on that marketplace.
  3. Return to Closetline and select Check sessions.
Why is a marketplace stuck on “Open a signed-in Chrome tab”?

Open the marketplace in the Chrome profile where you paired the connector, sign in normally, and leave the tab open while you run a connection check. Confirm that the marketplace is selected in Closetline settings as well.

The connector says it is not detected. What should I do?
  1. Open chrome://extensions and make sure Closetline Inbox Connector is enabled.
  2. Confirm it is installed in the current Chrome profile.
  3. Refresh Closetline and select Pair connector or Check sessions.
  4. If you loaded it locally, make sure the unzipped connector folder is still available and reload the extension.

Using the inbox

How do buyer conversations get into Closetline?

Closetline combines visible marketplace history with notification signals from an optional connected Gmail or Outlook mailbox. When you click Sync all messages, the Chrome connector imports visible marketplace conversations from the last 30 days plus the complete visible history of open-order threads. It preserves the timestamps displayed by each marketplace. After you send a copied reply yourself, keep that conversation open and use Sync exact thread to import the marketplace record. Optional Gmail or Outlook signals are also checked, and the Inbox shows exactly what the sync added.

Why is my inbox empty?
  1. Make sure at least one marketplace is selected in Settings.
  2. Confirm its official connection, when available, or the optional mailbox that receives its notifications.
  3. Open and sign in to the marketplace in the paired Chrome profile, then select Check sessions so reply handoffs are ready. This session check does not import messages.
  4. Allow time for new eligible activity to arrive, then refresh the Inbox.
Can I reply to a buyer from Closetline?

You can write and keep a reply in the Closetline thread, then copy and paste it on the marketplace. After you send it there, leave the conversation open and select Sync exact thread in Closetline so the marketplace's visible history becomes the thread record.

How do I refresh marketplace connection status?

From the Inbox or Settings page, select Check sessions. Closetline checks the paired Chrome profile and updates the current marketplace status. If a marketplace needs login, complete that sign-in on the marketplace before checking again.

Optional email signals

Use Gmail or Outlook notifications for earlier marketplace-message, comment, order, and shipping signals.

Do I need to connect Gmail or Outlook?

No. Mailbox signals are optional and do not block Closetline setup. They can be helpful when marketplace notification emails reach your inbox before you see the matching marketplace activity.

What permission does Closetline request for my mailbox?

Closetline requests read-only access through Google or Microsoft’s own consent screen. It uses that access only to find marketplace notification emails for buyer-message, comment, sale, order, and shipping signals. It does not send, delete, or modify email.

Which mailbox should I connect?

Connect the Gmail or Outlook mailbox where your marketplace notifications arrive. If you use a forwarding rule, connect the mailbox that ultimately receives those marketplace emails.

How do I stop mailbox access?

You can revoke Closetline’s access from your Google or Microsoft account controls at any time. For data-access or deletion help, contact support with the email address used for Closetline.

Security and troubleshooting

What Closetline accesses, what it never does, and where to get help when something still is not working.

Does Closetline need my marketplace password or cookies?

No. Closetline never asks you to give it a marketplace password or browser cookies. You sign in directly on each marketplace in your own browser, and the connector only helps check the selected marketplace connection in that browser profile.

Will Closetline change listings, send messages, or act on my account?

Closetline never publishes, edits, delists, relists, or sends marketplace messages through the inbox connector. You review, paste, and send every reply yourself on the marketplace.

How does responding work on each marketplace?

Every marketplace uses the same manual copy/paste handoff. Closetline opens the marketplace inbox, you send the reply yourself, then keep that conversation open and use Sync exact thread to bring the visible marketplace history back into Closetline.

How does Closetline organize different activity types?

Closetline keeps private questions, public comments, bundle comments, order and shipping updates, system warnings, support or dispute messages, group messages, message requests, moderation changes, and attachment or link warnings distinct. Price negotiations are excluded from the Closetline inbox.

I signed in, but the marketplace still is not connected.
  1. Verify you are in the Chrome profile that is paired to Closetline.
  2. Open the correct marketplace tab and confirm you are fully signed in.
  3. Complete any security challenge in that marketplace.
  4. Return to Closetline and select Check sessions.
  5. If it still fails, contact support with the marketplace name and the status shown in Closetline.
